March at UCA: over 8,500 pediatric visits, hospital assistance, and new specialists on the team
In March, three educational centers hosted the "Zmistovno" 879 classes. In total, children visited the centers 6321 times is the number of all visits during the month, not unique participants.
Children and teenagers studied school subjects, made up for educational losses, engaged in creativity, and communicated with their peers.
The team paid special attention to STEM classes. Children were introduced to the scientific approach, explored the scale of objects in the Universe — from galaxies to atoms, learned to ask questions, observe, analyze information, and independently search for answers.
For UCA, it is important that learning helps children not only memorize facts, but also explore the world, test assumptions, and develop critical thinking.
Children attended classes in four Spaces of Indestructibility 2210 times.
Here they studied, were creative, communicated with their peers, and participated in various activities. During power outages, adults could come to the spaces, rest, and charge their devices.
These locations are important for communities not only during outages. They provide children with a place to learn and socialize, and adults with access to needed resources during difficult times.
In March, UCA team was joined by two specialists.
New colleagues will help develop communications, work with projects, and tell more about the people, communities, and partners who make UBA programs work every day.
March combined thousands of children's visits, assistance to people with limited mobility, support for a medical facility, and team development.
Behind each number are specific people and the collaborative work of the team, partners, and benefactors.
