On July 4, 2026, a Nova Ukraine partnership event dedicated to the 250th anniversary of the independence of the United States of America was held in Cherkasy Region. Among the participants was CEO of Ukrainian Charity Alliance, Oleksii Kurtsev.

The event brought together 55 Ukrainian organizations

Civic associations, charitable foundations, educational institutions, government agencies, and international partners working to restore and support Ukraine spoke of the parallels between the 250-year-old democratic path of the United States and Ukraine's modern struggle for freedom, sovereignty, and the right to live in security.

An important block was the discussion of a model of long-term equal cooperation in the field of humanitarian assistance and recovery.

What was discussed at the event

The program brought together representatives of civil society, humanitarian organizations, and institutional partners around several topics:

01

humanitarian aid and recovery — how to make community support more effective and long-term;

02

models of equal partnership — how to build cooperation between donors and implementers on the ground so that it is focused on sustainable results, not one-time tranches;

03

intersectoral interaction — how to deepen ties between public organizations, business, and state institutions.

Symbolic context

The chosen date, the 250th anniversary of the US Declaration of Independence, gave the event a special meaning. Organizers and participants spoke of a historical parallel: more than two centuries ago, the United States defended the right to its own future, and today Ukraine is fighting for the same values - freedom, sovereignty and democracy. For UCA, as well as for dozens of other Ukrainian participating organizations, this dialogue was an opportunity to emphasize once again: supporting partners is an investment not only in assistance here and now, but in a shared democratic future.

Ukrainian Charity Alliance thanks Nova Ukraine for the partnership that has lasted for years, and hopes for its further development.

At the same time, a person looking for a job may not find an offer that is acceptable to him even where there are formally many vacancies.
