UCA at the Global Ukrainian Summit 2026: turning global solidarity into action for the Kharkiv region

08.06.2026

The Global Ukrainian Summit 2026 took place in Bern, Switzerland, on June 5–7, 2026. The Global Ukrainian Summit brought together over 350 participants and guests from more than 50 countries. Ukrainian Charity Alliance (UCA) was represented at the Summit by Dan Radion, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, and Valentyn Bezshapkin, Ambassador of the organization.

The summit became a space for meeting representatives of Ukrainian communities, public organizations, businesses, and international institutions that work to support Ukraine in different countries of the world.

For UCA, participation in the event was an opportunity to join the international Ukrainian community, exchange experiences, expand professional contacts, and better understand the priorities and approaches of organizations supporting Ukraine abroad.

Kharkiv region should be heard not only because of losses

In the international arena, the region is often perceived primarily through war and destruction. This is an important part of reality, but not the whole story. The Kharkiv region is about strong communities, educators, entrepreneurs, and veterans who continue to live and create new solutions despite extremely difficult conditions.

Here, children are catching up on their educational losses, and adults are learning new professions. Veterans are building civilian careers, and local businesses are preserving jobs. The voice of this very Kharkiv region is what UCA seeks to strengthen together with other regional initiatives. This is a region that needs support, but at the same time has its own experience, potential, and willingness to act.

Our task is to help international partners see these opportunities for meaningful participation in the recovery.

From international contacts to sustainable partnership

The value of international events is determined by what happens after them. It is important whether acquaintances turn into dialogue, and ideas into practical actions. Participation in the Summit was an opportunity to better understand the international context, exchange experiences, and expand professional contacts.

UCA works directly in communities, in constant dialogue with residents, authorities and businesses. This allows us to understand the situation and offer solutions that meet real needs and local conditions. We are open to cooperation with Ukrainian associations abroad, foundations and the corporate sector. For our part, we ensure transparency, coordination, expertise and accountable implementation of joint projects.

This is how international aid becomes a full-fledged joint effort. After all, the future of Ukraine will be created not only by resources and technologies. It will be created by educated, professional, and responsible people.

Support our activities

We invite foundations, businesses, and organizations of the Ukrainian diaspora to cooperate. Let's join forces for the sustainable recovery of the Kharkiv region.
