From first acquaintance to professional experience: UСA joined Career Days at S. Kuznets KhNEU

08.05.2026

The Ukrainian Charity Alliance team participated in Career Days-2026 at the Semyon Kuznets Kharkiv National University of Economics — the university's first offline career event since the start of the full-scale invasion.

The event brought together students, graduates, employers, and organizations ready to share practical experience and open up new opportunities for professional development for young people.

For UСA, this was an opportunity to get to know students, talk about the work of the charitable organization, and show how the first steps in the profession can be taken through internships, volunteering, or participation in real projects.

How can young people get involved in the work of the UСA?

During meetings at the stand, the team told students about the activities of Ukrainian Charity Alliance, work in the communities of the Kharkiv region, and tasks that young professionals can get involved in.

UСA works in the areas of education, humanitarian support, infrastructure restoration, and assistance to veterans and their families. Behind each of these areas is daily work with communications, coordination, project management, analytics, event organization, document preparation, and interaction with partners.

Therefore, an internship or volunteering in an organization can help a student see how the public sector works from the inside, get involved in real-world tasks, and better understand in which professional direction he wants to develop.

The first experience should be meaningful

For UСA, it is important not just to involve young people in completing individual tasks, but to create conditions in which they can learn, receive feedback, and gradually take on more responsibility.

During Career Days, students were interested in how the work of a charitable organization is organized, what knowledge and skills are required for an internship, and whether it is possible to combine participation in projects with studies.

Such conversations are beneficial for both parties. Students learn more about professional development opportunities in the public sector, and the UBA team gets to know young people who are ready to learn, offer ideas, and get involved in socially important projects.

Participation in Career Days was another step in the development of cooperation between UСA and S. Kuznets KhNEU and helped start a dialogue with students looking for their first professional experience.
