UCA and Polish partners supported Zolochiv Hospital

Ukrainian Charity Alliance has donated medical supplies and consumables to the Zolochiv Hospital. The facility, located approximately 17 kilometers from the front line, continues to receive patients despite constant danger and difficult conditions.

Every month, more than 3,000 people receive help here: about 2,500 patients seek advice, and about 500 more undergo inpatient treatment.

Medical care near the front line

The daily work of a hospital in a frontline community depends on many circumstances. Shelling complicates the supply of medicines and medical supplies, the transportation of patients, and a stable power supply.

Despite this, the doctors remain in place and continue to help people.

In response to the hospital's need, UCA donated infusion sets, syringes, medical tubing, ostomy care products, liners, and other consumables.

These are things that doctors need in their daily work and need to be replenished regularly.

Help made possible through partnership

The broadcast was organized thanks to the support of the Polish organization Pogotowie Społeczne and the participation of Mariia Andrukhiw, UCA representative in Poland.

Their help shortened the path from the hospital's need to the specific transfer of necessary materials.
«"Hospitals in frontline communities operate in very difficult conditions, so it is important to hear their requests and respond to them with concrete assistance. We thank Pogotowie Społeczne and Mariia Andruchiw for supporting Zolochiv Hospital and the people who come here for medical care every day," said Oleksii Kurtsev, head of UCA.

The donated materials cannot cover all the hospital's needs. At the same time, they help doctors continue their daily work and have the necessary tools for procedures and patient care.

For UCA, it is important that international support reaches specific communities and meets the real needs of institutions that continue to operate in frontline conditions.
