War has become part of daily life

Businesses close, people lose their jobs. Kids study online or in makeshift spaces. Shelling and drones hit homes, schools and infrastructure every day.

In the Kharkiv region the war doesn't destroy everything at once — it quietly wears away daily life.

One example among many

For many kids in the Kharkiv region, "school" has meant a screen for years now — first COVID, then the war. No bell for recess. No games in the hallway with classmates.

For Kateryna, that meant more than learning gaps — it meant growing up without real contact with other kids. A year ago, she started attending our education center. The change didn't take long.

You taught my daughter to count, read, and write, and also how to make friends and work as a team. My daughter has become confident.
